November

Before the first hard freeze

  1. Test the battery. At freezing it has about a third less power, and the engine needs more to start. Cold weather and your battery
  2. Check tread and pressure. Pressure drops about 1 psi for every 10°F. Replacing tires
  3. Winter washer fluid and wiper blades. Summer fluid freezes on the glass.
  4. Coolant strength. A cheap tester tells you the freeze point.
