Cadillac Lyriq, Vistiq, Celestiq and Chevrolet Blazer EV: loss of braking

67,380 vehicles: 2023 to 2027 Lyriq, 2024 to 2027 Blazer EV, 2026 to 2027 Vistiq and 2025 to 2026 Celestiq. Software in the brake system control module may cause a loss of braking in certain driving conditions. GM will update the software over the air or at a dealer. Owner letters are planned for December 14, 2026. Details in our separate report. NHTSA 26V717

Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana: steering gear nut may be loose

12,715 vehicles: 2025 to 2026 Express and Savana vans. A nut on the steering gear assembly may not have been tightened properly. If it comes off while driving, the driver can lose steering control. Dealers will check the steering gear serial number and replace the assembly if needed. Vans that were not inspected correctly under the earlier recall 26V399 will be inspected again under this one. Owner letters are planned for December 14, 2026. A clunk, play or wander in the steering is a reason to stop and call a dealer. NHTSA 26V718

BMW 740Le and 530e: starter cable may come loose

45 vehicles: 2018 740Le xDrive and 2018 to 2020 530e iPerformance and 530e xDrive. The positive battery cable on the engine starter may loosen and spark, which raises the risk of a fire. These cars were repaired before under recall 26V441. Dealers will inspect the starter and replace it if needed. Owner letters are planned for December 11, 2026. BMW customer service: 1-800-525-7417. NHTSA 26V695

Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia: front seat welds

4 vehicles: 2026 Traverse and Acadia. The driver or front passenger seat may have weak welds where the recliner pivot attaches to the seat frame, so the seat may not hold the occupant as intended in a crash. Dealers will replace the seat back frame. Owner letters are planned for December 7, 2026. NHTSA 26V696
