Who makes Badger
Badger is built by HighTengry LLP, a small technology company in Astana, Kazakhstan. We design and build the app and this website ourselves, and we answer support email ourselves too.
What we stand for
Your car history belongs to you. Badger works without an account, keeps your records on your phone, shows no ads and does not track you.
Badger is free for one car. Badger Pro adds more cars and extra tools, and if it ends, every record stays yours.
How we write our guides
Every guide starts from primary sources: the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), AAA, the US Energy Information Administration, federal regulations and manufacturer guidance. Sources are listed at the end of each guide.
Figures that apply only to the United States are marked as such. We update the numbers when new data comes out and show the date of the last update on every guide.
Our guides are general information. For your own car, the owner’s manual and a qualified mechanic come first.
