What owners should do
- Enter your VIN at NHTSA.gov/recalls. The VIN search for this recall is already live.
- Install the brake software update when GM offers it. It can arrive over the air or be done by a Cadillac or Chevrolet dealer, free of charge.
- Owner letters are planned for December 14, 2026. Cadillac customer service: 1-800-333-4223. Chevrolet customer service: 1-800-222-1020.
- If the brakes ever feel different, a brake warning appears or the pedal response changes, stop safely, avoid driving and contact a dealer.
An over the air update leaves no dealer repair order. Write down the date and the software update in your service log so the record is there when you sell the car. Badger keeps that history with date and mileage.
